good evening,
i was wondering if anyone here has been in the same boat as i find myself in. I've recently purchased a brand new sb66 and just found 2 small cracks on the rear swing arm, now the bike has only been ridden twice as literally test rides as I've built the bike myself. has anyone else experienced factory faults with the new 2014 carbon rear arm? the bike shop I've bought it from say its definitely a warranty issue and are on the case as we speak which is all cool but its a bit worrying as you buy a yeti for its quality build etc etc. I've got a 575 also and absolutely love it and never had any problems with it. has anyone else had problems with the new carbon rear arm?
kind regards
james martin

Sorry to hear that, whereabouts are the cracks? i've heard that the rear triangles are prone to de lamination which can look like hairline cracks, be interesting to see some pics

Ill get the bike shop to send me over some pics. Hopefully if that is the case it would put my mind at rest and if it is cracked then it would be a one off. I was very surprised when i found out to say the least.
More news to follow!

I had to have the rear triangle replaced on my 2013 66c. It wasn't cracked as such but the carbon was coming away from the pivot that sits behind the crank. The 2014 replacement has been fine so far.

I've had the same problem with mine and have had to send it in twice in just over a month of owning it. At first I thought it was just a fluke but after the second time I'm pretty concerned. Both cracked in the same spot, on the drive side right behind the BB area. I haven't crashed the bike or abused it much more than a "Super Bike" could handle. I'm coming off an old 2009 Giant Reign and thought this frame would be an awesome upgrade. I'm with you, I thought when purchasing a Yeti I'd be getting a great quality bike. This bike has matched the quality of some bikes I've seen roll out of Walmart so far. I'm putting my old Giant back together until Yeti figures out what is wrong with these bikes.

I got my 2014 SB66 on christmas eve, Noticed a wee crack in a similar area to above (just aft of BB shell) and on closer inspection, I found another 3, plus what looked like cracks around the pivot points, possibly due to unbonding. I had only had it for 3 months.
Silverfish were great tbh, but as they said it was the first that they knew of on a 2014, they wanted the rear tri to have a look. Was 2 months before they were available from the states, I'm really hoping that it won't happen again, and if it does, they ain't getting the thing back, they'll have to take mine and the shops word, as I won't be without the Superbike again for 2 months.
Awesome bike.

My warranty is up next month and I worry about it happening again. Sounds like a good excuse to upgrade to a SB6C and I note they have a 5 year warranty now.

I've had the same problem on my 2014 SB66 Carbon swing arm. Still awaiting warranty replacement but lost my confidence in the bike as it looks like it not just a one off!

Yup, had one on warranty and now 20 miles in exactly the same thing in exactly the same place. I'm pretty gutted to say the least!! Cracks on drive side. Not impressed at all

Hey just thought i would add to the list. 2014 sb66 ac 8 rides and it is cracked right on the drive side swingarm, really gutted. Yeti want the swing arm back when they send a warranty unit out, has anyone managed to keep their old swing arm?
