They will need the old one back to see what's up.
It's unusual (unheard of) to just give somebody a new rear end without inspecting the old one.

Damn, frame its almost here. Im from Mexico so ill have a bad time claiming a warranty to US, saw Joey Shusler ripping the Alloy one at 2012 DH Continental Champs getting away from serious big jumps, and tought it was that reliable. Thanks for sharing your pics and situations, and lets hope Yeti dont let us down. Cheers

Bought my frame in mid July 2014. First rear cracked out by mid August. Second one cracked out in a different location by the end of October. Yeti was out of standard SB66 rear arms so they gave me one for an SB66c (the only difference I see is the rear derailleur hanger). We'll see how long this one lasts... I live in Utah and luckily we have a Backcountry.com location and they have been awesome at rebuilding my bike every time. Also I have noticed a clear coat crack in my friends 2014 SB66 - that is how they always start. #yetitimebomb

Hi guys,
Just to let u know that yeti replaced my rear swing arm but the new rear swing arm has cracked again. Ive sent it off to see if theyre just lacquer cracks. Its only 8 rides old! I love my 66 to bit but its getting a bit annoying now! Also ive got a 575 which is 3 years old and yeti have just honoured a warranty on that swing arm. Excellent service. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of the 66 problem

Hey guys,
Guess what.... Yet another cracked rear swing arm! Wtf is going on with yeti!!! My friend has the same problem, 2014 66 and his swing arm has done exactly the same. Flex cracks behind bb and cracks around pivots. Once again its gone back to yeti. This will be my 3rd swing arm in a year. Its just not good enough. 2k for a frame thats about as strong as paper! Problem is, i love the bike

So after 4 months final got a new rear for my sb66 AC, they sent me the matt black one from a full carbon 66, the bearings in the frame (the one on the drive side) was feeling ruff so i got some new bearings, knocked the old ones out and pushed in the non drive side bearing and it feels smooth, pushed in the drive side bearing and i feels ruff as hell, so i popped it back out and the bearing feels smooth, what going on? is the front triangle out of spec on the drive side where the bearing sits ( to tight) this is the side where the rear cracked maybe thats why ?
Has anyone got the same problem with there drive side frame bearing ?

Well, mines has cracked again too. First carbon rear swing arm lasted 3 months, this one has managed a year. They are giving me an alloy replacement, as well as all the kit I need to change, dogbone, ECC, pivots etc. I hear that the alloy ones are just as bad, but I just have no faith in the carbon one now. First crack I noticed was at the non drive side upper pivot, but once I stripped it and removed the rubber guards, well I stopped looking after the 5th crack. Silverfish have been great again, can't fault them at all, but tbh I wouldn't buy another yeti, which is nuts as its an absolute joy to ride.

Don't let them give you a alloy one, make them give you the matt carbon rear off a 66c, those have see the least amount of problems. you pay good money for these bikes they need to back up the super bike claim !!!!
