I'm getting same issue with PM's...doh.
Anyhow, I'm in sunny Cumnock, between Kilmarnock/Dumfries... you probably past it if you go to Drumlanrig. Boss being bit of ar$e but I am still trying to sort going.
Earliest I can likely leave is 5pm... get down late Friday night....hopefully in time for a beerage. Got another guy from Ayr interested in going as well... plenty of space in my wagon

BEERAGE!!!!!!!! If it looks like you'll miss last orders, give my a shout and I'll get a few in for you boys!!!
If your boss is being an arse....buy a box of donuts at lunch in Friday and lace the biggest best looking one with Exlax senna chocolate and make sure he/she has it! Dude wont care if you're there or not. He'll be more worried about having plenty of loo roll and the graffiti on the back of the toilet door!!

I'm all booked up for the meet, just wondering if many non riders attend and if so what else is in the area. It's just the wife would like to come along but I don't want her to get to bored ;-)

Hi!
Church Stretton is just over the hill and should keep non bikers busy for a fair few hours.
Plus the drive over the top of the hill to get there should provide plenty of excitement!
Ride info-
Saturday ride is 2600ft of Down/uphill and 16.5 miles. Optional extra loop at end if you are feeling fit! Also optional short cut if you ate feeling it after 12 Miles.
Sunday is Eastridge, and approx 7-8 miles all on perfect techy single tracks.
Shaping up to be a great weekend!
Speed on the rides will be group pace, so don't expect to get dropped off the back, any race heads should be at mountain mayhem. BUT! There is great opportunity for you to shred the descents!!
Looking at approx 75 people if all who registered show up.
Andrew.

Ooooops.... Just broke the end off of my Ulna (elbow). I'm hitting the surgery table early today to have it plated and screwed. I may have to be waterboy, spanners and bike security for the weekend. Oh and beer monitor!! Cant believe my luck... I was doubling all the kickers on my local pumptrack, whippin the last one flat and clean. Having a totally dialled session. I then decide to go for a little amble along the nearby towpath under Clifton Suspension Bridge to walk to the dog and tire him out a bit......We're both pinning it down a tarmac slope......and then RABBIT.... At pretty much full speed he slams into my front wheel. I highside like a MotoGP rider, still clipped in to my mallets, full front flip onto my back. Giro Xen a write off, DJ still intact, me a right bloody mess with blood everywhere from the spikes on the mallets.....and a dislocated and broken elbow.........BALLLLLLLLSSS!!!! Fingers crossed for a swift recovery so I can at least potter around Long Mynd a little? 3.5 weeks...Oooosshhhhhh. Bring on the physio!!! www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150887315643145&set=a.426382323144.190792.694548144&type=1&theater

Bloomin dog was fine as usual. Bless him!! Back from Hospital now. Had surgery under GA, now sporting Ti hardware in my right elbow. Flirted outrageously with some lovely Doctors and Nurses.
Determined to be fit for the Tribemeet though..... If Gee Atherton can be back riding again four weeks after snapping his Tibia, then breaking the tip off my Ulnar isn't a big fuss!

I've just got off the phone with the Bridges YHA. Lovely lady! I was just getting their details to pay for my bed for the weekend. There are only few spaces still available apparently, so get a wriggle on if youve not booked or paid up!!
She did ask me to mention on here if a Mr Rowland who has booked a whole room for 8 people would kindly get in touch and pay up. Otherwise the room will go to other people....So there you go. Mr Rowland and his seven mates...cough up or youre sleeping in the garden!!

Bit late notice but anyone travelling down from Scotland (or NW) that needs a lift or share transport? Heading down Fri evening, back Sun. Was 3 of us sharing transport but other 2 have dropped out yesterday so my fuel costs just trippled. My crewbus can carry 5 in luxurious comfort.
Failing that, what are rules on bringing a non-yeti riding girlie to the event.... she wants one but still saving up!

Yes you can bring a non Yeti riding friend along! She can't have any of the socks though:)
Who dropped out?
Hate it when people do that. Nothing worse in my mind.
