Id like to organise next years tribemeet to be a Euro affair based in Les Arcs the first week of August.
Basically a week long trip, with the tribemeet kicking off proceedings the first weekend.
I have just got back from les arcs and its feckin mint. I am sure we can get the Euro importers to all contribute to a cracking weekend and week.
Anyone interested?

HI Eddy,
You'll need to speak with Fred from FMF, he is the french Importer. I heard that he and the spanish Importer were trying something together this year,. But thats all I heard. I guess can help you sort something.
Sorry, won't be going. Its a bit far for me.
Would have been nice to see you at one of the past UK meets though.

I have a few ideas on what Id like at the tribemeet, so can you give a bit of feedback on these; Stay in Les Arc Chalets with hot tubs and pools at discounted rates with lift pass. Camping available Yeti Team in attendance Party Air bag jump competition Band BBQ Weekend event (Mountain of Hell for example) Stay for the rest of the week Exclusive Beers one off T-shirts Prize Raffle Competitions (most unique one off Yeti, or the most Retro)

sounds exactly like 2008 tribemeet to me - with the exception that you have the hassle and expense of taking a week off, packing bike, flying etc.
Personally couldn't justify throwing down around 1k for a week of biking. But maybe I'm the only one on that front.

1k?!!!
where do you get that from?
more like £400 - £600
but that is in one of the best mountain bike locations in Europe!

So the date is 8th and 9th of August then, if you want the world cup team thats the best weekend. (Remember I did this already)!
One question, how do we fund the air bag, the BBQ, etc.
I can't see any importers like Evolution or ACCyles wanting to promote an event that benefits FMF.
Yeti won't put cash up apart from their own, which they charge people to attend.
Also, Fred @ FMF already does his won thing regarding a Tribe Trip, see the Tribe gallery on the main site.
If you are going to take the tribemeet out of the UK just like that, remember the 09 had a budget of £0.00 and we all had an amazing time. Throwing cash a great event does not make.
Nice idea, but I can't see how it can possibly work out.

I dont see why this should be in place of a UK tribemeet, but I feel a Euro tribemeet, on the scale of the US version is a good idea and Id like to see it happen.
I was fortunate this year in that my stay in Les Arcs was extended by a couple of weeks due to injuries, and the people I met who live there and own bars, the air bag, chalets and know of chalet owners etc were super friendly and we talked about a tribe meet and they were all up for it, I think it could be a very special weekend/week.
I am going to Euro bike to discuss it with the Yeti importers, my initial discussions with some of the importers was very positive, so hopefully we could make it a very memorable event.
It could be done as a holiday for people staying a week, which could be a lot cheaper than the £500 trail addiction rip people off with.
Im still very positive and dont want to upset people with this.

Keep us updated.
My mate was talking about Les Arcs, he has in Intense though, so probably won't be able to hang around all the time, but will make a day if the time suits.

Will press on with les arcs, and hope to get a few better responses from importers and also just look at getting a week long party and holiday booked.
