In the process of fitting 1x11 M8000 groupo on my ASR 5 alloy. Chain line looks out when in 42t on cassette. Has anyone else done this an experienced similar issues?
Thinking about removing drive side bb spacer to help compensate.
Full range of gears working and all installed correctly but drops from 42t when back pedalling. Does look to be chain line induced!!
Thanks

One spacer on drive side?
Using full new XT even cranks and ring?

I have M800 on a 5 Alloy. I moved one of the bottom bracket spacers across to help the chain line. It still drops if you back-pedal but I think they almost all do.

I've got the M8000 cassette, rear mech on my SB6C using RACEFACE Next cranks chainline looks pretty much spot on - but when I'm in 42t cog and back pedal the chain drops down a couple of cogs. Talked to loads of people with the same set up on many different bikes and most have the same problem, you get used to it after a while to the point you don't notice anymore.
