Hello all- I just got this project wrapped up with a few new updates to share. Images below show IRC Mythos XC tyres which have recently been replaced by a new set of IRC Yeti FROs (For Racing Only). Below are the the specs of the build. Cheers mates, Jason

Thank you FF. Spectrum does really great work and paints a lot of Yetis for restos here in the US. I've ridden it a few miles but am having some issues with shifting at the moment. The Grafton crank design and ARC chain stays require a fairly long bottom bracket spindle for clearance. I'm running a Phil Wood 73x127 versus the 131 noted in the spec sheet. With that, the FD is having a hard time throwing the chain up to the big ring so I think I need to add another link to optimize shifting. That's why it hasn't seen a lot of trail time yet.

One of the cockpit. The Grafton perches allow me to run XTR M900 thumb shifters and the Grafton Re-Entry brake levers together.

What an awesome authentic build. If this doesn't qualify as the Yeti of the month I don't know what could.

It is a nice restoration. Nice pictures too. But all those parts dont match together. For this frame style you have the wrong fork , the wrong wheels. Atac stem and Grip Shift with XT brake levers were used. You have the Grafton parts wright. Ringle hubs and Moby too. But all if this only matters for a period correct race bike restoration. That said, you did a nice job building the ARC the way you like it.

The Ringle stem was team spec which is how this bike was assembled. I elected to go full XTR M900 which triggered the Grafton levers and perches. Granted the wheels may not have been on all XC frames all the time as these things could change with the wind like tires depending on conditions, temperature etc. However, I was at the 1994 NORBA Jeep Series at Unicoi Trail in Helen, GA where every team member were rolling these wheels. I also know that during 94 a lot of guys were shifting with grips but I didn't want to go in that direction whatsoever as I always detested them and even had a hard time accepting indexed shifting. Either way, thanks for your observations, I think. I'm very happy with it and that is what counts. Here is a url to a PDF that you may enjoy. Do you have ARCs as well? Sign up and share the love man.
