I've had my sb66 for a year now and I upgraded to the xx1 about a month ago. Originally I got xt build with xtr brakes and reverb post. The clutch system on the rear mech works great.the gear change is really smooth and quick. It now weights 27lbs (don't know what it weighed before xx1) Thinking of upgrading wheels next any suggestions ?

Nice build! Loving the turquoise crank protectors. If it was my bike, I'd be throwing on some carbon rims, possibly with some King hubs (do they have XD drivers?) I'd save some kroner and put some www.light-bicycles.com carbon rims on it rather than go for the nice, but way more expensive Enves. 27lbs is light for an SB!

I'd go enve. 5 year warranty and lifetime crash replacement is a good deal.
Great looking bike. Nice work!

Wow!
I guess the premium price tag is worth it then.
I was also going to mention earlier, if you didn't want carbon rims, then the Syntace wheels would a an excellent option for a trick wheelset

I'm currently using e13 rims on my 29er and my SB, very light rims and amazingly strong too. Not a single dent.
For reference I am hard on wheels and a mavic dh rim last half a day last time I ride fort William!

I've had my sb66 for a year now and I upgraded to the xx1 about a month ago. I'm considering going this route as well. How do you find the XX1 for climbing? I often get into the Lake District and the Peaks so do a lot of climbing so I'd be interested in your experience.

No problem with climbing, perfect for the bike and my type of riding. I'm not the best going up but I've not been beaten yet.
I've only ever had 3x10 or 3x9, the 1x11 has such a good range. If anything, on a flat road section up to 22+mph run out of gears or legs! (I don't do Tarmac)
Surprised about the mavic rims.
