1)is the bell for the people to walk in the trail 2)because my friend is better and faster rider for me(simple)

Frankly speaking, I thought that it is a bell, but didn't consider this thought seriously because it is the trail bike, and not city bicycle. Very odd accessory for bike like yours.

I have a bell on my bike. It's a good thing to have for other trail users.
Every bike should have one.
