Fan of the brand since my debuts in MOUNTAIN BIKE ( 1989 ), I never had the opportunity or the finances to buy a Yeti frame!! In September 2007, I was lucky to be able to get a 2006-07 ASR-SL for an advantageous price! Neither one or two, even before having resold my former frame (Spé M5 ht), I order the frame as I don’t want to miss it! Deadline of wait before receiving it 1 month!
Meanwhile, I took of all the parts which I have on the former frame (sold with the fork) and I consult web sites, I look information to the right to the left to have the best assembly so that it is advisable to me at best and so that it sticks to the max with the use that I want to do with the bike!
The phase of reception / assembly of the frame arrive then! Excellent finishes, magnificent painting, this frame is the outcome of a dream!!
The assembly begins little by little all slowly to be sure to make it at the top!!! (Roughly, I put 1 month in making the complete assembly) with the finishes which are well ( Ti bolts, protection of the frame with the transparent vinyl, welding of the brake fixation on the frame... Most recentely, I made some personal parts as Titanium axle for pivot suspension or washers to avoid mud on pivot bearing.
Meanwhile I ask for all the information possible on this frame (Photos, test, opinion of Internet users) to be unbeatable!! I even asked US Yeti who had assembled and welded the frame (Shane Cole and Chris Kopp)... In brief, I became real YetiFan!!!
