Looks great. Doesn't have that wierdly proportioned look I've seen on other 29ers. How are you getting on with it on the trails?

It's Mega, I think because they managed to shorten the chainstays by using a direct mount front mech, it looks right. It is the only 29er I have seen that i really liked ever since the Sea Otter pics were released. It doesn't feel that weird really, just feels like a big bike. There is a definite flywheel effect with the wheels too. They don't seem to take any more winding up than 26" wheels when seated, (but I'm a bit of a twiddler) but you can notice it more with out of the saddle efforts. There is also a definite "juggernaut" feeling as your riding along too, you feel a bit invincible and feel like you can get away with dodgy lines more. The only thing I can liken it too is when (back in the day) I went from riding rigid to front sus. The plan is to rig it up with Alfine 11 once the horizontal chips become available. Having never ridden a 29er before, I wouldn't say it's any better or worse, just different, in a nice way.

What about low speed manuverbility and tight corners?
I agree this is the first 29er I've seen that ironically doesn't look like a clown bike! As a taller guy I'm quite interested as a possible future purchase

Works fine in twisty stuff in our local woods. Not ridden a trail centre yet, but I've not found anywhere that I can't ride it as well as my 26" bike. Very few people have twigged that it's a 29er actually which I find a bit weird.

I really hate to admit it but I'm a convert. I think your bike looks really good. Much better than I ever thought a 29er could look. Top marks fella.

Seriously tho, does it just come in this colour for 2011? (I haven't seen any other colours/patterns) or are there 2010's still about?

Hi Andrew, Thanks fella. If you want to put it in the "Your Yeti's" section or elsewhere on here for completeness, let me know and I'll send you the pics if you can't lift them from here? I'm waiting to rig it up on an Alfine 11 but I'm waiting on the horizontal dropout chips which are due anytime, so I don't need to run a tensioner.
