Hi
I've been reading the forum for a while now, as I was looking for a new bike and the Yeti's had caught my attention. So after reading reviews, forums, and talking to various bike shops, I had my mind set on an ASR-5 or a 575. Then two weeks ago I was talking to one of the guys in Grafham Cycles (part of Rutland Cycles) and, after raving about Yeti's, he mentioned that Rutland had an ASR-5 on their demo fleet.
So the next day I was over there taking it for a spin round the reservoir - what a bike! I asked the guys in the shop if they were going to sell it off, and as luck would have it they said they could release it from their fleet if I was interested. Well, it's a lot of money, but I couldn't pass up the chance, so here it is:
ASR-5 Alloy (white)
Fork – Fox F120 RLC
Shock – Fox RL23 Boost Valve
Headset – Cane Creek S3 / XXII
Stem – Truvativ AKA 90mm 5 degree
Bars – Truvativ Stylo Race
Grips – Yeti
Seatpost – Truvativ Hussefelt Double Clamp
Seat – WTB Rocket V
Front mech – Shimano XT
Rear mech – Shimano XT
Shifters – Shimano SLX
Chainset – Shimano SLX
Cassette – Shimano Deore CS-HG50-9
Chain – SRAM PC951
Brakes – Shimano SLX
Rotors – Shimano SM-RT64 (SLX)
Wheels – DT Swiss X1800
Tyres – Kenda Nevegal 26 x 2.35
Pedal - Shimano DX SPD's
This is exactly how Rutland had built is up apart from I got them to put the pedals on. The plan is to keep it like this for a while and then gradually upgrade things as and when needed.
