Heres my problem.... I have an 07 Yeti ASR SL (sadly out of warranty as I am the 2nd owner!) that has just decided to pop off one of the gear cable lugs located on the carbon swing arm frame. Now the lug is the one nearest to the rear wheel and it looks as though the factory rivet and then bond the lugs to the frame. The question is how do I fix it? Surely I don't need a new arm? I have been told to stick it back then cable tie it but this is just a quick fix and not one I want to do on a £2000 bike! Does anybody know what to do? Is this a common problem with carbon frames?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards Broadway Yeti.

HI, Never heard of this happening before.
Has the rivet broken, or the cable stop broken? can you post a picture?
If its just the rivet, then you should be able to use a bonding solution such as araldite and just rivet a new one on.
Probably the best people to speak to would be the guys at Bromley bike, maybe they have a solution, or could even fix it for you.

Hi Andrew they were unsure of what to do infact they were the people who said bond it and use a zip tie!! The lug an rivet have come out in one peice! I am fairly sure its due to the load from the gear cable. I am taking the bike to BETD in staffordshire on tuesday as they put the bike together in the first place but its a 200 mile round trip . If you send me your email addres I can send you a couple of pictures and maybe you can advise me or BETD of the best procedure or better still be able to get a new arm under warranty.. Thanks for your help. Broadway Yeti
