Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked before but I wonder if any of you have experienced any issues with the frame sizing on the 575?
I am about to buy into the whole Yeti experience (swapping my 2006 SC Heckler for a 2009 575 ;D ) and have heard rumours that the frame sizes on the 575 are slightly more stretched than you might expect for a given frame size. I am 5'10'' and have been riding a medium Heckler with a top tube length of around 22.5''. The specs on the Yeti website for the 575 state that the medium frame has a top tube of 23.8'' whereas the small is closer to the Heckler at 22.8''. However, on the same page it suggests that the medium frame is suitable for someone between 5'7'' and 5'11''.
I am aware that head and seat angles play a role in the overall but there is only 0.5 deg (68.5 Yeti and 69 Heckler) difference in the head angle and the seat angles are identical.
Any advice on this would be most welcome as I am due to put my order in any day now...
Cheers!

HI, I run a 2008 575 and am just 6ft, and to be fair I'm right on the upper limit but I find it really good. If I was 6ft1 I would go for a Large for sure.
The top tubes were lengthened from 2005/6/7 to 2008 by 0.4inch.
The seat tube on the Medium is 18.5" long.
I think it depends where Yeti and Santacruz measure to and from, there can be a lot of difference.
Where are you based? you could always get a sit on one.
I have tried Large and Medium AS-Rs and go for the Medium each time, but only just.
I think you'd be fine on a Medium. The usual point people can decide on is if they should go medium or large at 6ft tall.
try speaking with the guys at Bromley bike co, even if you don't get it from there they will give you good advice.

Hi, I am 5'10" and I have a Medium 08 575, I run a 70mm stem and a RaceFace seatpin with average lay back, fits perfect. Bike is built as a bulletproof all day bike, so I also didn't want it to be too long.

Cheers for the info guys!
Unfortunately, being based in NZ means that there are very few Yeti dealers and even fewer opportunities to actually sit on a built up bike. I've ended up ordering a frame based on the geometry listed on the Yeti website. I've gone for a medium and plan to run either a 50 or 70mm stem to get the fit right. Fingers crossed that it all works out coz I'm really excited about getting my hands on the new 575. She's a beauty!!

I am 5'10" and have a medium, with fox Vanilla 32'2 with a 70mm stem, I'd run a 50mm stem if i had 36's on.

Edy,
How do you find the Vanilla's work with the frame? I've chosen to go for the Vanilla's too (new 15QR) having previously ridden Float 32's on the Heckler.
