I'm not a big upgrade guy, but I felt this had to be done. I have a 2013 575, and I am changing out the shock for an upgrade to a Fox Factory evol. The rp23 was just riding in too much its travel and the bike was riding too low. The reviews I've read agreed that this would be a good upgrade for the bike all around.
This is my first time ever changing a shock. So everything has been going reasonable well, and then I get to installing the shock into the dogbone and I can't get it to fit. There is a white plastic portion of the shock mount hole that sticks out a little on both sides. The two metal bushings that came out when I took the old shock off fit perfectly into this plastic sleeve (well it is snug) The dogbone doesn't quite have the clearance but it so close that I am not sure if I am supposed to force it, hammer it, sand the plastic down, or if there is something not right.
Anyone who knows...I will thank you ahead of time if you can offer an answer. Thank you.

The Jenson retailer couldn't answer this one either, and I know they have built bikes like this so . They suggested I call Yeti. So that's my next plan. I'll let you know what the answer is when I find out.
