Hi
I have a 2009 575 with the alu/carbon swingarm and when investigating a slight creak I found the drive side chainstay looks like it has come slightly loose from the main pivot bearing carrier. (a common problem it seems!) I'll try to effect a repair - have been looking at the various ideas for using epoxy. I was wondering though about the possibility to drill through the alu part and the carbon seatstay close to the bearing and putting in a very thin bolt as well as using epoxy? Anyone tried this or know how far the alu part extends into the carbon chainstay? The other side looks ok, the slide that has moved has only moved maybe less than 1mm. I can just see that the seal of the original bond (between the alu/carbon) has cracked.
Cheers!
Chris

If you do it won't last long.
Carbon bike solutions in the uk has experience at repairing these.
Yeti stopped doing the carbon swingarms, so if you were to buy a replacement you'd get alloy chainstays now.
