My 07 575 has developed slight play where the RP3 links to the dogbone/seatstays. Presumably this means wear, and that its time to do some fettling.
Question is, what do I need? I've looked at the store, but am a bit confused by the different bits on offer. I assume one of the kits will be needed but which one? Bearings and bushes I assume, is this the normal procedure?
Do I replace all three linkages, or just the one where I can feel play?
Presumably I'll also need a tool.
Can one of our experts point me in the direction of what I need?
Many thanks.

HI Fagus,
This sounds to me a cheap and easy repair.
All you need is a FOX shock eyelet bushing. These are cheap, and the current best place to get them from is Tim Flooks.
Chances are the bearings in the frame are perfectly fine, I would doubt that they will have got play in them just now. If they are seized, then you just need to get the eyelet bushing and then a 575 bearing rebuild kit. Its all pretty easy if you have done it before.
If you have not done it before and are a bit worried by it, then you could ring Howard at Bromleybike co (if your in UK) and send them your shock/dog bone and for a small charge they can do it for you.
While its apart you can do the air sleeve service too, this is just removing the 'can' off the shock and giving it a clean and relube. Takes 15 mins to do properly.
The rate link tool does help, but its not required if you have access to a vice and some sockets.

Andrew, many thanks for that. I had a spare bushing, so had a go at changing it. Had no tools, but the old double socket trick worked. As far as I can tell the play has gone, but next ride will give me a better indication. Didn't do the sleeve - I'm chicken!
Whilst I was trawling t'net I came across a very useful pdf showing how to change all bearings on a 575. I've downloaded it. Is it worth putting on here somehow? Do you want me to mail you a copy to have a look at?
