Moving from a 5 Alloy to 5 Carbon - much difference?

I've had a 5 alloy (small) for almost 5 years now (current one is just over 2 years old as first was stolen).

I've seen a very clean looking second hand 5 carbon for sale. It would work out about £300 to upgrade.

Has anyone had both and would I notice that much of a difference? A bit lighter I know, but my current bike isn't that bad (1 x 10 mostly XTR, Stans Crests etc.)
