Yes another thread on this, sorry. Sb66 is Six months old and some of the bearings are knackered, and the lower shock bush too. I know its been a bit rough on bikes in the uk this winter but I've been riding my hardtail half the time, not impressed really.

Exact reason I sold my SB66. Run away before everybody figures there is a problem.

The big switch bearings? At £30 a pair I've decided to replace mine every 6 months. I know you shouldn't have to but until I find a bike I like to ride as much as my 66C I'll put up with it. My lower shock bush has just started to go at 18 months which I think is OK. My old ASR 5 would do those twice a year.

Building up my old Alpine 160, two bearings that last for ages. I doubt I will sell the Yeti but it nearly met it's demise through frustration while getting that main pivot axle out. I love the way it takes a dainty tap on videos when in reality you're shaking the foundations and swearing like a trooper. No sign of any grease on it...grrr.

When removing the main switch axle try making a slide hammer that threads into the side of the axle (if I recall it's 5mm).

Don't believe everything you read. My SB66 is 2 years old and original bearings are still going. I've only had to replace the lower shock bush a couple of months ago.

I think I've ridden my 66c for a 120+ hours and I have just replaced my bearings. 18 months old , a small price to pay for all the fun I've had. I will change mine yearly from now on.

6 month & 4 sets on mine. Half of them just fell out of the frame too, due to p*ss poor tolerances on it.
Bike sold, not impressed. Right old battle to get warranty sorted too.

Which ones were falling out? The switch ones?
