Andrew,
So I'm right in saying the alloy 5 is different in shape to the carbon. Sods law that I prefer the look of the carbon fibre one coz that will be more expensive of course. Looks like a new bike which I ythink is why i prefer it, the alloy looks like a 575.

CONFUSED.com The picture at the start of the thread of the ASR 5C looks totally different from the pictures above, the shock linkeage is mounted different. Which one is the bike they are going to build? Anyone?

I prefer the old DJ, it has the looks that distinguish it as a Yeti,
remove the decals from the new one and it could be any major manufacturers frame

Have you seen it in person???
It is pure sex. I took a ride on it at MSA and it was one of the best hardtails that I have been on.
The pics do it absolutely no justice.

In the pics it seems like the black paint hides the lines of the new DJ. It looks so good in the pics of the raw proto with team graphics.

Just got back from Eurobike. Had to say was very dissapointed with Yeti, perhaps the crummiest stand in the Show, the bikes look good, the ASR5c is a great handling trail bike, loved it.
Unfortunately nobody seemed to be bothered to attend the stand, so I ended up being interviewed by a german magazine about the new ASR5 which was cool, it seems the guys from IXS who I think organised the stand couldnt be bothered to attend the Yeti stand, a shame as the bikes were being photographed all day long.
As for a Euro Tribe meet, well, the Euro importers didnt know what one was and werent interested in getting behind one, I guess Yeti would do well to get European importers who are enthusiastic about the brand. on the Foes stand I met Brant who makes them and they were gushing about their bikes, in fact every other stand had people in attendance who were really enthusiastic about their own bikes, even at the demo day the guys couldnt be that arsed.

Chris Conroy & Steve Hoogendorn were there from YETI, Mark & Stu from Evolution were there too, maybe you should have tracked them down.
I think you need to talk to the french & Spanish Importers for a better chance with your meet.

I know, I spoke to Stu, it seems that Mark was in meetings most of the day with the other importers. It would have been good to see some clothing, and the full range, etc. the bikes were getting loads of attention, but it just seemed a little half hearted, the brochures were just photocopies from the web site.

Just to go over a few things and give my spin on it all...
Yeti guys Hiding? I saw Chris Conroy a couple of times on the stand, also he was interviewed by the TV crews on the stand showing off the new stuff.
No Rep on the stand? Could be due to being in the same meetings as all the other distributors and in their own meeting with Yeti?
Photocopied Catalog? It's Yeti remember we never see anything till the actual year of the model range!
Stand? Yep dull! Bikes were the highlight, they needed a bit more style to the same old stand.
The ASR 5 back end, it is 142mm spacing which is a new standard the is being adopted by DT and more to come, according to Dom at Madison it is super stiff! Yeti however will be as I understand it offering a standard set of dropouts that come with the frames, anyone confirm this? Oh and it also looks even better in real life the 5 looks stunning!
Expect Hope to offer a spacer conversion for their wheelsets if the 142mm standard takes off, they did for 15mm and it is an easy conversion for them.
Euro Tribe Meet, UK is by far the biggest market outside the US so might be slow to see a Euro Meet, each individual market might not see the point.

Just heard confirmation that HOPE have done a new spacer kit for the new rear wheel spacing, not sure when it's available but they said "it's just spacers" so sounds like it is retro fittable to present hope wheels.

hello all... I have just recently become interested in Yeti. I took a 575 demo out this summer and loved it. I was waiting on the 2010s to come out before making a purchase. I noticed in another post they you say they don't actually put out anything until the model year. Does that mean that you won't see the 10s in stores till Jan??? Thanks!

Comment was about the brochures really, if they do one expect it about March April.
The bikes except for the 5 and the new DJ will be all available in some form or colourway, my guess is to expect the 5 in the new year and the DJ shortly after that? can anyone else confirm?
The Hope 143mm spacers I am told have been already for the German market, something the germans are into apparently?
