I heard a handful arrived so far on Monday. I ordered one too, but no idea when mine will arrive. I heard that maybe it could be here in September.
I know some shops ordered the day they were first shown online, so even a few days after that could make it 2nd delivery maybe?
It's so going to be worth it. I am told it's amazing.
Andrew.

The bike chain in Edinburgh(I think) has got one in stock.
I know the first shipment was a few short, so your delay will not be the fault of your lBS for sure.
Coupled with that I imagine a high demand will still mean you get yours before the majority.

Hi Everyone Just received my SB-66 yesterday, I have started to build it up. One thing to point out is that if you have a Park BBT-9 bottom bracket tool you will not be able to tighten the cup on the non-drive side (due to the shape of the swing arm). So you will need to have a BBT-19 socket (link below) at hand. www.parktool.com/category/bottom-bracketHappy building. Perfect Planning Prevents P!ss Poor Performance. Pictures to follow when I'm finished.

Your one of the lucky ones just wondered has it come with the new 2012 kishima coated RP23?

Hi
Yes it comes with a Kashima coated RP23 shock and 12mm rear axle.
I took it for its first outing on Saturday mostly on the cycle path to ensure it was running smoothly and to dial in the riding position. (It is a very efficient pedaller for a full suspension bike no doubt about it). This morning I took it for a ride around the local single tracks not far from my house, words cannot describe how good it is - if you are even remotely considering buying a SB-66 for what my opinion is worth, do it - you will not be disappointed.
I pondered over frame size (as many people I'm sure have) and in the end went for a medium. I'm 6 ft tall and thought I was taking a gamble, but with the SB-66 medium top tube length being close to that of my large ASR 7 it was a decision I'm glad I made.
My 7 is an awesome bike, but its no secret it builds up big. So I would say a general rule of thumb would be to buy the SB-66 a size smaller than that of an ASR C, 5, 575, 7 you may own or have tested. Stem/seatpost length can then be selected to make the cockpit more suited to your body size. Especially if you want a bike that can be easy to throw around a trail.
One more point, I went for the Talas 120-150 forks, again I highly recommend this if you have trails where climbing up hill is always on the cards when you ride, it may add a few grams to the over all build, but the versatility out weighs this. The slight adjustment in head angle makes up and down hill riding that little more efficient.
Pictures tomorrow and I'll post a full build report if anyone is interested.

Cool cool bike...... But IMO the frame looks way too small with the seat that high.....

You are right the compromise for having a medium frame (with the top tube length being similar in length to that of a large ASR 7) is the seatpost will need to be extended further for someone in the 6ft tall region. However, I had only just taken the bike out of the car and put the seat in its approximate position so I would take the picture (and seat post length) with a pinch of salt.
Interestingly enough though the length of the seatpost is a 367 rather than the 410 I originally thought I would need.
If anyone would like the dimensions of the bike (used seatpost length etc please let me know).
This medium frame is fitted with a 90mm Thomson stem, my friends ASR 5 medium is fitted with a 100mm stem. When we swapped bikes the cock pit of the ASR 5 was cramped compared to that of the medium SB-66.
My big concern was to not have another bike that felt big like the trail smashing 7. which I'm glad to say I achieved.
If you have any concern about which frame size to choose I would highly recommend a test ride first.

Hi all, First post! Just finished with the third ride on my 66. This is my first Yeti and huge upgrade from my '07 Trek fuel. I bought the large black enduro and am loving it. I weighed the sb 66 at the bike shop after I swapped a few parts. It came to 29.2 lbs with candy three pedals. I swapped the seatpost and stem with thompson and bar with EC70. I am 6 foot 180 lbs and had a time with the sizing. I swapped the 100 mm stem for an 80 and that fit me quite well.
So far the ride has been gangbusters! I am making it up tough rocky sections I have had trouble with before and making steep sharp switchbacks that I thought would be a problem with the slack ht. The downhill is no comparison to my old bike. The ride is surprisingly flickable and feels alot lighter than it is. I have decided to leave propedal fully open for a while and like it so far. Adjusting rebound settings has made a big difference in ride characteristics. I am running halfway through the compression clicks on both shock and fork now and really like it. Pedal strikes are more of an issue with this bike. Just need to use a little more thought. And though I really love the ride of the nobby nic's, after 3 rides the rear nobbys are disintegrating unbelievably fast. I have them pumped to 38 psi, any lower and I start getting pinches. At this rate I think the rear tires will only last 10 rides. Don't know what to do, any suggestions? Cheers, Jack

Wow! Can't wait to get one now.
Sounds impressive.
As for the rear tyre, maybe an older nobby nic Evo? They are harder.
