Hi Beluga
That was a very interesting point you made regarding the wear on the rear tyre, I have WTB 2.3 Prowlers on my 7 and SB-66 and (although they are a soft compound) the SB-66 rear shows significantly more wear then the rear on the 7.
The tyre on the 7 has been used at least once a week for the last 4 months on the same trails, I now ride the SB-66 on. I can't remember the durometer of the Prowler off hand, but for those about to build an SB-66 it may pay to go with a harder compound on the rear. So on the face of it, the SB-66 seems to be able to put a lot more traction onto a trail than we may be used to with other Yeti models - maybe not too surprising though when you consider how stable the rear triangle is when wheel travel is minimal.

Hey, I was just treated to excellent customer service at my lbs. Sales manager agreed the rear tyre was wearing in excess and gave me a new tyre. I went with the purgatory control and am running it tubeless. I spent the last two days in alpine conditions running it in mud and snow. So far so good. To be fair to the nobby nic, my local conditions are very rocky and dry at the moment. Probably not the right tire for the conditions. Loving the SB! So plush when you want it to be and such a climber.

The video is awesome and just goes to show how good the SB-66 really is. I love riding the bike and as I said in my previous post if - you are even remotely thinking about buying the frame do it (and go for the 120-150 Talas forks while you are at it). You will not regret it.

Okay, first shakedown ride out of the way and I have to say that this bike is the "bollocks" as my UK pal would say. I have never felt more comfortable and capable on trail than on this bike. Came from a SC Blur LTc and this is better in every way, get one.
