I have been riding the vivid for 2 years and I love it. Totally out performs the DHX-5 that I rode a few times.
Great adjustability and once you set it up you dont have to worry about it. I have about 6 diff. settings for different terrain and they all take about 15 seconds to dial it right in. Also quite light with the Obtainium Ti spring.
Also just threw a 2010 Boxxer WC on the 303R this past weekend so some updated pics will happen soon. The best fork that I have ridden so far, stiff, very plush, great adjustments, easy to rebuild, etc.
More in depth review as I get some more time on it, so far 4 races and about 15 days of riding on it.

Sick setup Rufus! I've got the money in the Bank but I waiting till my road trip to the US to get the 303R... I reckon I'll save a load of cash doing it that way!!! Super amped to get on one though!!! Yeeeewwwww!!!!!!
Also, I've been running Bettys for a while now. DH snakeskin on the back and FR on the front. The DH is a lot harder compound than the Gluey compound. I found I shred the Glueys real quick, but love the confidence they give me in the berms and kickers!!
I've not managed to find anyone who sells the Marys in the UK yet??? I guess I should try a bit harder!!! Slack ass I know, but the maxis are ok for now!!!
Sick bike....Yeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks bags.
Where are you located, Canada? I am assuming since you said road trip. If so then you will definitely save some cash. Make sure to bring some parts with you to build it up a bit so that you don't have to claim it at customs.
Definitely post up pics when you are done.

Nah
I'm from Somerset England! I'm flying over to California in Sept! Travelling for 18-24 months!! US, Costa Rica, Canada, Japan, NZ, Oz and Indo. Maybe longer if I can find work along the way!!
I'll probably save $1000 on a complete setup if I buy in the US. Mind you I'll spend that on a new DJ or ASR7 though.....lol

Ryan, I noticed you must have had few races this year already. I want to ask you about Schwalbe tyres. How do you like them? Do they perform as advertised? Any problems or unusual issues with them? Thanks

Ryan, I noticed you must have had few races this year already. I want to ask you about Schwalbe tyres. How do you like them? Do they perform as advertised? Any problems or unusual issues with them? Thanks Hey man, Sorry for the late reply. I blew my knee out again and I am still going through some health problems so I have been away from the internet for a bit. I have been riding the Big Bettys 2.4 F/R in both the DH and freeride tire. Amazingly the FR tire is much better than the DH but wears a bit quicker. The BB in the front felt a bit squirrelly and I would have liked a Muddy Mary up front instead. The FR version of the BB is very light, seats quite well and I have yet to have any problems with them minus the wear issue. Take a look at Sicklines.com for weight pics on the FR version and some reviews from Jason on the muddy mary's. We have yet to try the Dirty Dans unfortunately. They were much needed for the first half of the season. Here's a quick blurb about the Muddy marys: Tires: We’ve been pretty happy with Schwalbe’s Muddy Mary tires. They’ve been used on several of our bikes as of late and perform well on a variety of terrain. We’ve swapped out the back tire to a 2.3 and are running the Gooey Gluey compound. In the mud and loam these tires especially shine as they clean very well and have good side knobs for off camber traction. We’ve gotten to the bottom of the mountain and seen some riders with Minions and other tires that were caked with mud, while the Muddy Mary’s self cleaned well which helps them hook up the whole way down the trail. Talking with Aaron and Joey at MSA and Bromont, they really like the DD's as well as the whole Schwalbe line. Looks like Yeti will be running them for awhile.

I am just about to complete my race wheelset: DT Swiss 440s on ZTR Flow rims with Schwalbe Muddy Mary FR 2.5 (not the tubeless but I will try to seat the tyres without any latex inside - some people reported this to be a reasonably simple procedure). I am back to Poland now and there might be some muddy track over here, though I am yet to be familiar with is available around.
How is you knee now? Have you managed to get things sorted? Cheers
