So pumped that I finally got it today. I have more parts coming in this coming week and then it will be complete. Running all Sram with Gravity cranks on this beast. Check out www.sicklines.com soon for the full project build report and accurate weights.

Nice,
The sicklines build reports are so good, loads of detail, can't wait.
Why the Rockshox shock? does this mean boxxers up front? It will be nice to see a non standard build.

How does the bike pedal? Could it be a all mountain bike to replace a ASX? I'm currently loving my 37lb ASX to ride anything down or uphill.

How does the bike pedal? Could it be a all mountain bike to replace a ASX? I'm currently loving my 37lb ASX to ride anything down or uphill. With a little stiffer suspension setup it would be a great 37-39lb pedaler but I wouldn't want to. I have done a lot of XC in the spring to get ready for the season and it rode really nice. I didn't notice much pedal bob at all. Mine is built for DH racing only and is currently 37.2lbs and it rides like a dream. Here are a few quick pics from the US Open this past weekend.

I want one even more now since you say it isn't bobbing much! Gotta win the big bucks first...

RUFUS, thanks for the spec - it looks very impressive. Few questions, though: * Which model og Big Betty are you running? DH or FR? I assume it is not tubeless (since you are running Maxxis innertubes) * Have you had a chance to check the weight of the frame alone? * I am thinking about getting clipless pedals - any feedback re CB mallet pedals?
Thanks.

I run both the DH and FR. I have yet to have any puncture problems with the FR version and they are about 1# lighter. I am currently running the DH tires as my FR rear ones got torn up a bit. I have had a chance to check out the weight, you can see all of the weights here: www.sicklines.com/2009/04/13/preview-yeti-303r-dh-2009/weights with pics at the bottom of the page. I love my CB mallets, easy to get in and out of, light and they look great. They have been very durable and CB customer service is second to none. I would also recommend looking into the Shimano PD-M424 pedals.

I am thinking about getting Big Betty FR UST tyres for my bike, or maybe Big Betty FR rear and Muddy Mary front.

I'm still waiting for my muddy mary's to get here. BB rear and MM front is a great combination.

I'm still waiting for my muddy mary's to get here. BB rear and MM front is a great combination. I might be getting this combo later this year, maybe early the next year. So far Michelin DH16/DH24 are keeping strong. I assume you must have had some time with your RS Vivid. Any feedback? I hear they are great performing shocks well above Fox products. So what are your thoughts?
