Pretty nice bike. But I have two questions... Why you had switched to Shimano XT series derailleurs. What it was not pleasant to you in XTR? And what is this tatter on a bottom tube with two awful plastic belts?

And what is this tatter on a bottom tube with two awful plastic belts? I only changed for an XT rear derailleur because XTR ones were not available when decided to go to 2x10 speed instead of 3x9. Otherwize I would have got an XTR. Though I must say that the XT works just as well as the XTR. As for that bit of thing underneath the downtube, it's only a bit of old tyre that I've cut to protect the downtube and also the cables running down. I put it on depending on where I'm going to ride (i.e. mainly when it's likely to be a very stony area).
