Thanks Andrew. UPDATE: Changed to a thomson 50mm stem which feels a bit more fun. Also changed to a fizik gobi seat which is much more comfortable My headset died too from all the winter mud so had to get a chris king one on... Just bought some new wheels as I found Stans crest too thin (sideways tyre flex) and a right pain to change tyres. Went for spank subrosa evo 30 al and Hope pro 2 evo hubs. Just gotta get them built now: Maybe a bit less subtle and not to everyone's taste but will post pics when they're on. Also just ordered the 12mm chip kit and shimano axle for the rear to stiffen it up-anyone tested this upgrade?

I d used the chip and axles on my 5's. it's just a better way of holding the rear wheel in.
Once you use it, you'll see how outdated the quick release is!

Don't be afraid of a bit of colour.
I like it. Stands out as individual.

Looks good - didn't think those colours would work but they do.... just need to dump the red anodised parts now IMO.

Thanks Upgraded to a ks Lev now and a ck bottom bracket as my race face one died by getting a drowning I think in a recent bit of flood crossing... Got a few other touches too like kcnc disc adapters and some turquoise chainring bolts so will get some new pics up soon. I just love riding this bike the asr 5 feels so alive and fast!

Get the CK bb grease tool, your bb will last for an eternity with that!

Update: Have just returned the bike for the 2nd time in 2 months for rear triangle cracks wondering if yeti/silverfish will allow me to upgrade to an sb66a...? After 2 rear triangles and reading so much about yeti rear triangle problems I think the asr 5 might have to go and be replaced by something alloy. Shame I LOVE this bike just no good if it's gonna break all the time!
