I bought a yeti pro fro in about 1994. Serial number 3107. It is all blue. Be what year would this be? Ive been riding it ever since, still with the Accutrak and Attack stem. Cook bros cranks, and upgraded 12 years ago to some Mavic Crossride. I did succumb to having to put a nice brooks saddle on it. Still role with xt, oh yes thumb shifters. Ive thought about putting a time correct Manitou on it. The headset is threaded, and i would hate to lose the matching blue answer. Should i stay rigid? Thoughts guys. Ill probably ride this bike for the rest of my days .love it!

I had a 1990 17.5" FRO Frame #1001 purchased April/May of 1990 through Sierra Cycle Works in South Lake Tahoe CA. Color was Red with White FTW Stem and Forks. I Raced all of 1990 in the Tahoe area including Mammoth. After I installed Manitou's in 1992 the frame broke on the drive side rear Chain Stay. I sent to Yeti in 1996 for warranty repair but they informed me that the seat post was fused into the frame and they could not repair. They offered me a 1996 ARC in Team colors for cost and I took the deal. Now I really wish I had not let it go as I just went through a seat post issue on my 1992 Ultimate that I was able to resolve. If anyone has a 1990 FRO in 17.5" I would be most interested in purchasing or taking in trade for my Ultimate. My buddy ordered a Blue 19" FRO at the same time and we raced together that summer.
