How about I arrive on Friday and we take it from there. I will book an open ticket for Friday and Sunday so it gives me flexibility. Let me know your proposed schedule for departure so I can look at the my trains. They run every 30min on Friday and every 30-45 mins on Sunday so that's great. I am getting excited now

That sounds great. I will get the train tickets tomorrow, London - Crewe. You do not have to rush, as I said train run every 30-40 min plus I will have an open ticket. Your plan is spot on. I will get back to you later tomorrow.
I checked the opening days at Fort William and we are lucky - the last weekend this year is 14-15th September.

Looks like were going to scotland. I'll see what sort of travel lodges can find local to the track. Better than pitching a tent a midnight. If you head to northwich or hartford it means we get there for about 11.45. Also might be worth booking the uplift before hand.

Dude, 6th Sept confirmed - Fort William is available to the public. Any chance I come to Crewe - it is the easiest way for me to travel from London.

Crewe shouldn't be a problem.
I may have to change plans it may be better to go to falkirk and then go the last hour in the morning as there may not be any where open at midnight. The return trip will be the reverse pretty much. just go to falkirk and then drop you off in crewe at about lunch.

The travel lodge in falkirk is £55 each way for a family room which is a double and a sofa bed. This seems the best option as it adds 10 minutes on to the journey and makes life whole lot easier. That means a total from crewe of £105. £50 for fuel and £55 for the Room.
