Doing the Mega is cheap, its not much to enter, but then there is travel, thats the expensive part.
The Room was about £140 each for 2 of us for a week,
I think you would get change from £600 inc travel if you share a car and include all spending money.
We worked out each way was about 240 Euros in fuel and tolls. So say £200.
You probably enjoy a week in Morzine with me just riding trails a whole load more!!

I really fancy having a go. As Steve Jones says " every one who thinks they are a MOUNTAIN biker should do this once."
Is it difficult to enter?
I don't mind saving a few coins to get out there. It's just the entry and physical demands that worry me as i'm no whippit.

Be warned. THERE IS UPHILL !!
Its easy to sign up, you just need a doctors note or a race license. Entry is about 80euro and that covers the weeks ski lift pass too. So it is good value.

what sort of doctors note. hopefully not the expencive kind I think it is a basic one that states that you are capable of riding a DH bike, nothing else. For more details go to Mega website, I remember there was a good description of what that doctor's note should include. Are you going to do Mega 09? If so, please keep in touch, I am doing Mega 09 for sure (99% sure)

My plan is to do Mega 09. My mate, posting as jaccuse here, is also 99% into the topic (together we will also are 99% into this: yetifancom.proboards56.com/index.cgi?board=meets&action=display&thread=278 ). I think it would be a good idea to go there for the whole week there as the Mega entry fee includes a week long pass. Not sure about the logistics yet, I have not car myself and jaccuse would be flying from Copenhagen but there is still plenty of time to organise things.
