When I was there last there was one of our group on a Yeti DJ doing it, and I am ashamed to say he was faster than me on it.
It is possible to get down on a 575, there is nothing that is not rollable for most bikes.
Worst bit is the road drop, but that has a chute next to it that makes it easy, or you can do the oh so good rolling XC to the finish.

Hi,
My name is Niquo, I'm french, I live near to Paris. I don't speak and write very well English. Excuse me for my errors.
I am interested to come in Cwmcarn the WE of June 15th with my ARC. I looked at to come by plane from Paris to Bristol. Then, I rent a car to go to Cwmcarn.
Which are the possibilities to sleep near to Cwmcarn? How many people will ride on ARC?
Have a good evening, Niquo.

Bonjour Niquo! Cwmcarn has some great cross country riding that will be great for your ARC. Most people in the UK ride 575 or ASR. Your plan to fly to Bristol sounds good, Cwmcarn is about one hour from here. Remember to bring some ££ for the toll bridge though (I think it is about £6 for a car?) There is not much accomodation in Cwmcarn itself, it is a small village. Best place to look for hotels is Newport, about 20 minutes from Cwmcarn. Just Google 'newport accommodation' and you will get lots of results. An easy place to stay is the Premier Travel Inn www.premierinn.com and they have three possible hotels: Cardiff East, Newport South Wales, Ebbw Vale They are usually happy for you to keep the bike in your room if it is clean! Hope this helps Luke www.LukeWebber.com

Thank you for your answer.
I can't to bring a tent by plane because I will have my bike and a big bag. So, with your information, I'm going to search an hotel near Cwmcarn.
See you, Niquo.

I'm flying into Stansted on friday, hiring a van and driving down to Wales with tooFATtoRIDE, we have a space left in the van in you need it. We'll drive back on Monday morning to Stansted via London.
As for accommodation either tent, hotel or the back of the van.
Your most welcome if you fancy that instead.

Any uplifters coming with non Yeti riding freinds, there is now 8 places per day for non Yeti riders.
The price is £25 for non Yeti riders.
These can be booked on the main site on the tribemeet 08 page, or you can send a cheque to me, PM me for address or andrew@yetifan.com

Uplift is 1/2 booked up on the Saturday now, there is still room though!
Campsite on site at Cwmcarn has just 12 spaces left, if you book as groups, they can fit more in.
More news on the site on sunday............

It's done! Whoo hoo!
Me and my buddy have just booked for the Saturday uplift. No chance I was missing the meet this year!
I'll get chance to give the DH9 a proper run out. Can't wait to see you all there.
Who knows I might have a 303 by then?

sorry if this has been answered before, but what happens if you don't drive and you rely on trains? I really want to get to the tribemeet (will make me build my 4x faster!), but can anyone tell me where the nearest station is + how one can get from the track to the outside world?
