I only went on the Mojo DH which was fantastic. The freeride area was pretty good too, we did part of the XC and the Twrch trail on the run down from the freeride area. I believe there are a lot of good XC trails there, although doing them on my ASX was'nt too appealing. The views are amazing and the ambience at the top is unbelievable. I want to give my DH9 a good thrashing on the Mojo track though, the ASX was a little lightweight for it.

Remember the venue is not set yet, so don't get too excited! We all hope it will be there, but have to bear in mind the forestry Commission could not let us have it there.
As Scant said, the new visitor centre is open.
I am going at Xmas to check out an extra XC ride, it would have to be guided, unless there are some new ones in the pipeline, how this would work I have no idea at the moment. The good thing about Coed-Y & Afan is people can ride fast or slow, hard or easy. So get your thinking caps on.................
I will probably camp, but there are local B&B etc etc.

Well, count me in plus one non-YETI. I was mad at missing the 2007 event so barring disasters NOTHING will stop me this year!

OK,Confirmed (as close as possible).
Ex Yeti world cup XC racer, Aussie Short track champion, Austrailian XC Team coach at the worlds, Ex Team manager, and current Austrailian Yeti Importer- Paul Rowney will be attending the UK meet.
As well as doing some riding, he will take a small group out both days (5-6 people) to do some skills type stuff.
More to follow............

"visitor centre is already open" Fair enough then!!! What other XC trails are there? Is it just the one? Is there more unsignposted riding? theres masses of unmarked riding. I've lived & ridden in the area since 1985. We could stick to the mountain above cwmcarn & comfortably do a 4-5hr ride. if we cross 1 minor road this leads to the coity mountain, which is 18miles long (with masses more trails) & takes you about as far north as abergavenny. For the DHer types theres more purpose built DH tracks including the Abercarn old NPS DH (about 3miles from cwmcarn), the old pedal hounds DH (in cwmcarn) & a hidden jump spot in the forest just above risca (can be accessed via both the cwmcarn trail & the mojo DH) in other words theres masses of other trails to ride

Hi!
I have just received the dates for my final exams and ;D ;D ;D ;D I will be making my way to YETI Tribemeet 2008. Awesome news for me, I missed DH ride in January but with this event taking place after them it is fantastic. In addition, with all the yeti guys coming and some "celebrities" it's gonna have to be an event of the year. My 303 will be up and running by then ;D Andrew, you are doing fantastic job, I will make sure I will get you some proper polish beer (I am Polish myself) to say thank you.

Cool, Still waiting for final go ahead at our preferred destination.
As usual, non Yeti riding mates are OK to come along( don't bring your entire club! It is a Yeti weekend! ), but won't get any of the free stuff we reserve for the Yeti faithful.
More info later on........................ Can't wait..............
