I've had my Ultimate since 1993, I bought it from Evolution Imports. Last year it was powder coated in White.
I vaguely recall that it may have been used by the UK race team back in the early 90's before I got it.
Looks like it was built in the 80's cos the frame number appears to be U 164 but not very clear due to the layers of paint/powder coating.
Spec is as follows:
Original Manitou 1 forks (also have the Accutrax)
Syncros stem, handlebars & bar ends
Period XT front & rear mechs
Magura race hydraulic brakes (also have period XT brakes)
Cook bros racing cranks and Pace chainrings (50T large ring) and period DX SPDs
Period USE seatpost, Flite TI saddle, Ringle QR
Mavic 231 SUP rims built on period Ringle hubs.
Fast Feather TI Wheel QRs
I was hoping (at the time) it would be light. Probably weighs around 28lb.
