Hi all, I have just replaced the bearings in my 2013 sb66 and there is still play in the eccentric bearings before I go ride the bike , could this be that the eccentric kit is worn and needs replacin or could it be the bearings??
would like to know if anybody else has had this issue or any ideas?
Thanks in Advance Andy

Most probably the bearings.
Did they fit in the frame too easily?
Genuine Enduro ones or budget?
Was anything loose when it went together?
Hard to tell without seeing it.
It's not the du bushing in the shock it it?

Bearings came from yourself and I still have the bag with the yeti product code on, they did not go in easy and the play is without the shock and swing arm on the Frame.
When the eccentric switch fits in side the bearings and the bolt is tightend up you can put the pivot bolt through the off set bearings in the encentric switch and of you move it laterally you can see/feel the movement on the blue eccentric switch without the leverage of the swing arm which makes me think it's ether the eccentric switch or bearings that have the discrepancy.
The way to check is buy a set of eccentric bearings or get the eccentric kit to see if it makes any difference, both ways are not a cheap option and may not solve the play, that's why I have put the question on here also sent Yeti a email to see if anyone else has heard of it.

Not heard of this before and had a few sb frames.
Do the two halves of the blue eccentric fit together nicely?
Have you tried it with the Swingarm on all tightened up? Can you still feel play in the rear end?
Does the 5mm Allen bolt tighten up ok on the blue switch link?
Does the they axle show any wear?
Does the blue switch have any wear on the outside of it?
Sorry for all Qs, want to help you get to the bottom of it.
Did you put new bump stop condom on? It's not that hitting the metal bolt feeling like play? (I'm sure you did, but want to ask to rule it out)

Hi Andrew, questions are always welcome as I have ask the same ones my self and checked all of the above, I have bought a second hand eccentric switch and going to see if that makes any difference and go from there, the old shows sings of use but would not say it is worn. I will let you know how I get on. Thanks again
