I noticed a small amount of vertical play with the rear end of my ASR5. If I hold under the seat and lift, you can feel the rear end move a tiny amount relative to the rest of the frame. I don't think this is normal - is it? I thought this was due to the bushes on the shock being worn so replaced these, but the play is still there. It seems to be coming from that area, so I took the top hats out and tried them in a new bushing. They are smaller than the bushing - is it possible these have become worn themselves and need replaced? The top end seems tight enough, it's just the top hats at the shaft end that seem to have this problem. Does anyone know where you can buy the top hats on their own? I can't see these anywhere in the shop.
Next question! While I have all of this off, I thought I would replace the bearings in the linkage as after I popped the seals off, they were pretty cruddy. Any bright ideas how to get the bearings out of the linkage? Or is this a job for a shop. I used a vice and sockets to get the old bushes out, not sure if the same approach will work with the linkage

The top hats and the bushing are both fox parts and come from fox. It's common for the bushing and the top hats to wear together. So replace them both.
Bearings, I just use sockets and a vice.

Hi Andrew, I want to order these today, but I don't have the bike in front of me to measure the size of the top hat reducers. It's for the shaft end of an RP23 on a Yeti ASR5 2011. I found from the manual that these are 8mm x 23.5mm, but the closest I can find on the TFT website is 23.2mm. I guess that will do? Or do I need to persevere and find a 23.5 somewhere - if so, any recommendations?

Just order them from mojo, all you need to do is tell them what make of bike and they will send the right ones out.
You should get the new nylon low friction ones from them too.
