Am gearing up to buy a new 575 and can't decide on the forks.....
I ride mainly all-mountain, as long as I get up the hills that is fine, want the forks to be bale to cope with teh downhill without being over the top.
Narrowed it down to the new Fox 32 Float 15QR or the beefy 36 Floats??
Any ideas?

36 Floats would be my choice. New 2009 one's look very nice. Very light too.

My Fox 32's are letting it down; so i'm going to go for a 140-160mm fork such as Wotan, Lyrik or probably Fox 36's because they are a bit lighter. You'll be robbing yourself of all that frame beauty if you can't utilise it fully IMHO

the best fork is the 36 Float. Dont worry about the TALAS the bike dosent need it. The 150mm 32s are too flexy even with the 15mm bolt through. (I rode them in Spain a couple of weeks ago on a test day)

Personally speaking, you should tailor your decision on the style you ride and your budget. I ride all mountain style leaning toward the rougher side. I've got a hard tail with 08 Rockshox Revelation Air-Uturns, there only 130mm with 32mm stanchions but they are nice and stiff, excellent for this bike and then I have a ASX with Fox 36 Talas fork, same thing nice and stiff. The Fox forks are more expensive though. I would in a pinch use the Rock Shox fork on the ASX and they would get the job done. Short for the ASX but get it done. It just depends on your riding style!
If I had a new 575 and was on a budget I wouldn't hesitate to put the Revelation on this bike. If you can take the plunge though I would put a Talas 36 on your new 575 and be done. The Talas 36RC2 will will accommodate any style of trail you are going to ride with aplomb.
My Two Cents,

Don't discount Fox Van 36, completely transformed my 575. Incredibly smooth and compliant and not as much of a beast to peddle uphill as I expected. They work particularly well on an 08 575.

I've got Pikes on mine. Seem to do everything I want or need. In fact they probably have more ability than the rider.

I am in the process of building at the moment and went for a PIKE 454, decision was made on price and also a horror story of legs coming un stuck on a FOX fork a mate had, went through 3 pairs before putting them on his girl friends bike - she is super light so less likely to stress them.
has anyone else had this issue? legs came unstuck at crown?

I have Talas 32 on mine and it rides superbly, uphill, downhill or flat the adjustability is great.
I did ponder the 36`s when I bought mine but was advised by many that 36`s would probably be overkill unless regularly doing 5ft plus drops.

well i,m a big boy and my fox forks are just perfect i had to play about with the set up to get them to track the way i wanted i had to much air in them and they were way to stiff but once i got that right they work almost as good as the forks on my old trials bike thats the motorised type and loads better than the rock shox flexy things i had and used twice then sold

since my original quote I have ridden my 08 575 with the PIKE 454 Uturn i used in the build, total weight is about 29 lbs with Nevagal 2.35", HOPE M4 Brakes, Hope everything else.
Bike rides really good, very stable and stiff feeling, suspension is balanced and plush. I'd recommend the PIKE especially if you can get a good deal from a shop with it being end of season. I like the FOX forks aswell but they do seem expensive in the UK.
