Anyone ordered one then? I know Luke has. I'm tempted by one but think I might race a hardtail next year. Just read the review in What Mountain Bike which sounds promising! ;D

I am planning to put one of our team riders on one next year for the National XC and marathon championships.
planning a top 3 finish in the U23's. i think the bike will help a great deal, especially in races like the Cristalp, Meridas and Manx end to end etc.

Yeah for the Marathons/24hr races etc they would be fantastic. If the one in WMTB weighs 22lbs i'm sure you could get one down to 21 fairly easily, which is incredible for a FS. (I know Spark's are lighter.)

I dont think Feb is likely, more like May. That's a guess, as I understand they havent made any at the factory yet - other than a few demo frames.

I have ridden one...Stu from Evolution brought it to a Crosstrax Group ride...i was only the third person to ride it besides Stu and Steve Worland...i also rode Ed's new 575 demo bike...both a very little bit stiffer and more relaxed than their predecssors, but you'd only really notice this extra stiffness at warp speed...ceretainly my existing asr-sl has never felt flexy...the asr-slc is impossibly light...the seat mast was too high for me, so i swapped to the 575 halfway through the ride...
all in all, a great bike...if i had £2100 in my pocket i'd get one...and even though i hate white, it looks sublime in the blue and white colour scheme with white forks...

Marcus it comes in stealth bomber black so the radar does not pick you up at warp factor

there has been a new and confirmed date for them, but I'll be honest I cannot remember the date! Luke W knows, he has one on order.

Well, there have been several 'confirmed' dates, all of which have been put back. First I heard was early December, then late December, mid January and finally 22nd February.
Now there is no real date - a safe bet is late April but the fact is nobody knows it is down to how fast production in Taiwan goes.
So, why have the dates been continually put back?
Yeti want to get it right first time and with carbon it is essential you get it perfect. Just look at the latest MBR which shows what happened to a Cannondale!
Unfortunately it seems that my ASRc will not be ready for the first National (mid April) but that is fine. I would rather race my perfect ASR SLc than a rushed ASRc that I have had to run around building - all for a 1lb weight saving.
Finally, the latest rumour over on mtbr is that there have been 50 frames made and these are now being shipped, with an expected delivery date of late March. Further batches will become available throughout the year.
hope this helps!
Luke
