how does the rear suspension behave under braking does it still work like a front fork and track over bumps or does it lock or jack up and feel like a hardtail and bounce over bumps and rhytmn sections

LOL...Keith, come down our way some time and you can ride my bike...don't worry, i won't try and sell it you!...the new alu asr is supposed to be slightly stiffer and the carbon one much more so...but i've noticed no problems with mine...the only thing i'd say is that it feels too light, so a 22lbs one would feel, to me at least, much too light! While your here, we can go in Ed's shop and drool over the new bikes, especially the new 575!

the best way i can describe an asr is like a fourcross bike, but made for XC.

Luke's point is a valid one, its very much point and shoot, taking the sting out of the bigger hits. It comes with an RP23 shock though, so you can have it as plush or stiff as you like though.
