Got an '07 575 with carbon chainstays - I have one of the black neoprene chainstay protectors but was wondering where to look for one of the silver chrome-coloured ones with 'YETI' cut out?

The Stainless Steel ones are fitted at the factory, some models have them, some dont.
My 08 does.

My (07 carbon) also have a Stainless Steel Protector ... a question - what do you think - I must buy a neoprene protector or this Stainless Steel is enough ?

What a great time for me to plug the Yetifan store!
I have the Neoprene one in stock!
It even has the cut out for the cable stop.

Andrew do you think it's good idea to use neoprene even if I have Stainless Steel ? If yes ... what is the reason ?

Mine has both.
I think a good reason for the Neoprene, it will cut down chain noise for sure, and sometimes on metal stays, the chain can act like a little chain saw, and cut little sharp edges, this won't hurt your bike, but it will cut your finger when you clean it, The stainless should not do that, but it will cut down on the noise for sure.

Plus the neoprene chainstay protector protects the underside and the inside of the swingarm which the stainless shield dosent cover, though I find I have to zip-tie the neoprene chainstay protector at the bottom bracket end as fat tyres tend to rub a bit.

There's only the neoprene one on here which I already have - can I get the SS one aftermarket or is it only if it comes fitted from the factory?
