Yes more of the same.
SB66C - Bike first ridden in last week of July 2012, it developed a slight creak a couple of rides ago, on closer inspection there was very minimum lift around the main pivot area. We're taking our bikes out to Tenerife in the next couple of days, so I didn't have the time to strip the bike myself. The local LBS (Yeti dealer) stripped the bike and when they removed the blue concentric axle the large drive side bearing fell out - both large bearings and 4 of the 6 smaller ones needed replacing.
Can anyone tell me what the is the function of the lock screw under the pivot housing on the frame? I realise its to do with the blue axle, but what is it there for?
For info - I have ridden the bike at least 4 times a week up until November and since then a minimum of twice a week, our local trails are North of Leeds either Ilkley Moor or Otley Chevin so the trails are pretty standard stuff, not too gritty - but very wet. I take extreme care when cleaning the bike, so it hasn't been subjected to pressure washing. I had the same thing happen about 3 yrs ago - one of the pivot brgs on the carbon swingarm of my 575 dropped out after approx 6 months - I replaced the bearing and they then lasted for 18 months, I'm hoping the same will happen with this one.
Are Yeti still fitting crap bearings (or crap bearing seals?) my 575 was a 2008.

The bolt you refer to screws into the switch housing from underneath?
It's to stop the switch over rotating. Like a stopper.
If the bearing fell out, I'd give the importer a call. Just to be safe.

Thanks Andrew, I understand now how the screw works - I was thinking it actually locked up to something -but that explains it.
Will talk to the LBS and get them to ring Silverfish.
Even with this problem still love the bike, I thought the 575 was unbeatable for my riding - I like going up hill as much as coming down (well nearly) but the SB66 matches the 575 on the ups and is way superior on the downs.
