I have an '08 575 with a carbon swingarm which I love dearly, but today my brother (who also has a 575) noticed that there was a large amount of side to side movement on my rear wheel.
On closer inspection I found that the bonded joint has failed around the aluminium main pivot bearing housing and the chainstay.
Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone offer any advice - I'm thinking about trying to get it fixed before approaching Yeti for a replacement.
I bought the frame second-hand.

Try emailing your importer, see what they say.
Unsure if you can fix it yourself, but I doubt it.

I cant recommend it, but Ive seen a lot of carbon bikes repaired using Araldite and they seem to be still working ok a few years on.

I got similar problem last year on my ASR-SL 07 .The part was replaced by YETI under warranty four weeks later.

This can be fixed quite easilly providing the carbon hasnt split or fractured, basically u use intense heat ie hot air gun, not too close tho or u will destroy the matt laqure on the carbon, u heat the carbon at the joint to melt the glue inside the joint, when hot u should be able to remove the aluminium pivot point, then clean the inside of the carbon joint to remove / key for re glue, also clean the aluminium bonding area and clean out the 4 holes in the aluminium using wire circular wire brush on a drill, do this quite hard so that the aluminium is keyed for glueing. then use some 3m 08115 (car panel ponding glue 2 pack mix ) this is expensive stuff btw!! (but it wont break!) coat both the internal carbon and ext aliminium bonding areas well, pushing some into the 4 holes in the ali. then push them together, try to then clamp so it sets flat against the carbon! ps this glue takes 12 hours to cure, but i would leave it 24 hours! u can reach me at simonhigh@btinternet.com for more info.
